COVID-19 and Variants

At React Miami, we'll be complying if not exceeding, CDC protocol in April as well as abiding by our venue's COVID protocols.

Onsite precautions include:

  • Update as of February 11, 2022: masks are now optional, but still encouraged at the MBCC as per local public health mandates.
  • Adding portable and wall-mounted hand sanitizer stations installed throughout the venue.
  • Increased frequency of cleaning and disinfecting commonly touched surfaces and high-trafficked areas using EPA Registered disinfectants as recommended by the CDC and in strict compliance with GBAC protocols.
  • Employing touch-free surfaces in our restrooms including automatically flushing toilets, hands-free faucets, paper towel dispensers and hand dryers.
  • Installation of additional digital and physical, portable and permanent health advisory signage throughout the venue.
  • MBCC staff training by the Florida Department of Health on the proper use of PPE and techniques to prevent transmission of sickness.
  • MBCC food and beverage service providers Centerplate is also coordinating globally to manage the impact of COVID-19 to protect employees, clients and consumers. Centerplate’s existing rules for food safety, personal hygiene and infection control are rigorously followed in order to minimize the risk of this, or any other virus spreading.
  • New health and safety practices align with the MBCC’s  LEED® Silver Certification achieved as part of the venue’s $620-million-dollar expansion project which includes many environmentally-friendly features.
  • Our reopening plans, policies and procedures are informed by Florida Health, Miami Dade County and City of Miami Beach official mandates and recommendations, as well as best practices from industry associations and affiliations. Plans are subject to change, as new information related to the pandemic is ever evolving. We endeavor to keep these plans updated as new information is released.
